You may have heard about a small, semi-underground screening this week in Los Angeles of Topher Grace’s re-edit of the Star Wars prequels, and I was lucky enough to be among the audience who saw the one-time only screening of what was dubbed “The Editor Strikes Back.”

Topher Grace and Star Wars may be two completely different parts of our collective pop culture knowledge, but the That ’70s Show alum noted, in an introduction to the screening, that he is simply a huge Star Wars fan who, like all of us, has had his own, “I wonder what it would be like if they did it like this instead…?” moments and decided to actually try his hand at re-editing all three films into one condensed story.
